Şölen tops the confectionery sales rankings in Sharjah
Turkish chocolate producer Şölen has achieved number one in the foods and confectionery sales rankings with Dufry-operated Sharjah Duty Free at Sharjah International airport. This follows the re-launch of the brand by Kreol Travel Retail.
According to Dubai-based Kreol Travel Retail, the company has rekindled the brand with a rationalised sku mix, appropriate pricing and thoughtfully tailored promotions strategy, which resulted in the strong performance.
Şölen, which contributed to 9.4% of total sales in the category, is a producer of chocolate, chocolate covered snacks, cookies, bars, chewing gum, candy and cakes. It is Turkey’s number one chocolate exporting company with a global reach of over 90 countries.
Kreol CEO AS Lal said: “As a brand, Şölen has enormous appeal to consumers looking for value-for-money deals when making a confectionery purchase.”
The Şölen catalogue ranges from gifting items to on-the-go chocolate snack-bars. An effective promotion strategy has resulted in high sales growth across all outlets in travel-retail. Kreol executive director Kreol Arakulath
Kreol executive director Kreol Arakulath added: “Representing Solen is an exciting project for us because the thought that goes into Şölen product design means we are conveniently equipped with a variety of skus appropriate for any and all travelers.”
Kreol represents the brand in the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Oman, Qatar, Bahrain, Kuwait and all over the Indian subcontinent.
