Kreol Retail International Business begins operations at Cochin Airport

Kreol Retail International Business, part of Kreol Group, has launched operations at Cochin International Airport Duty Free.

The company aims to provide trained staff for brands, as well as staffing solutions for airports in various deparmtnets, including customer services, retail and airlines.

Kreol Group CEO Lal Arakulath said: “Our focus will be to provide comprehensive services to airports in India.”

Kreol Group, which is headquartered in Dubai, operates in travel retail distribution in the Indian subcontinent, Middle East and Africa.

Arakulath noted that the company is expecting to see “substantial potential for growth”, as according to reports cited by Kreol, the aviation sector currently contributes $72bn to India’s GDP, with total passenger traffic in the country having surpassed 316 million at the start of 2019.

Earlier in December, Kreol Travel Retail announced it is to introduce Turkish confectionery brand Şölen to the African market with Flemingo International.
