Fazer appoints Kreol Travel Retail as distributor for Indian duty free

Confectionery group Fazer has appointed Kreol Travel Retail as distributor for its brands in the Indian duty free market.

A.S. Lal, CEO of UAE-based Kreol Trading, said: “We entered the travel retail arena in 2002 when we partnered with Alpha Retail (now part of World Duty Free Group) to create a joint venture in India. We went on to independently represent many global and regional brands and established a strong distribution network in the Arabian Gulf countries as well as in the Indian sub-continent. We are very proud to be partnering with Fazer, a company in existence since 1891. We believe the brand and its products have got great potential in the region because the Indian consumer now expects to be offered a variety of international brands.
